Anthony is the founding attorney of the Long & Mathies Law Firm. He was admitted to the bar of the State of Indiana in 1970 and isadmitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court; the U.S. Court of Appeals, Six and Seventh Circuits; and the U.S. District Court in the Southern District of Indiana.
A native of Tennyson, Indiana, Anthony graduated from DePauw University in Greencastle with a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology in 1966, and was a member of Beta Theta Pi social fraternity. He received his law degree from Indiana University School of Law at Indianapolis in 1970. Elected in 1978, he served as Warrick County Prosecutor until 1994. He is a member of the Warrick County, Vanderburgh County, Indiana State and American Bar Associations; as well the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the National College for DUI Defense, Inc. and serves as a Fellow of the Indiana Bar Foundation. Active in politics, Anthony is the Chairman of the Democratic Party Committee for the Indiana Eighth Congressional District. He is also a life member of the National Rifle Association.
